Eco Square Cracked Mud Necklace with Carnelian Stone
Eco Square Cracked Mud Necklace with Carnelian Stone
"There is a crack in everything- that's how the light gets in..."
I remember as a kid, walking the farm fields in Indiana with my cousins and best friends. It was great fun to play in the puddles exploring what was left after a cooling rainstorm in the heat of summer. The patterns created by the baking sun have been etched in my mind for decades- dry, cracking earth has been a favorite of mine. In this necklace, I have tried to imitate nature' beauty. This is the first in a series I hope to continue, but there will be only one of these.
Handmade argentium silver necklace that resembles "cracked mud". Each square cut and formed by hand and assembled into a striking pattern. Suspended below sits a brilliant orange Oregon Sunstone. The cabochon is ethically mined here in the United States, and the silver is recycled. The piece has been oxidized to bring out the depth.
Currently, the necklace is suspended 16 inches from an Argentium Silver rolo chain. A longer chain may be substituted.
All of my jewelry comes in a recycled paper box and ribbon suited for gift-giving.
